EMER-G-MED Paramedics attended this accident scene.
Thursday morning at 07:03 EMER-G-MED's RV7, M06 and A06 responded to reports of a motorbike collision on the R101 (Old Johannesburg Road) in Midrand.
Paramedics arrived on the scene minutes later, finding that a motorbike had collided with a car - after swerving to avoid a pedestrian, who was illegally crossing the road.
Unfortunately the motorcyclist was found to have sustained massive polytrauma and showed no signs of life. He was declared dead on the scene.
The pedestrian, who was clipped by the motorbike, and three occupants of the car sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were treated on-scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
JMPD's Specialist Accident Investigation Unit were on the scene to investigate.
