EMER-G-MED Paramedics attended this incident.
A 24-year-old woman was injured this morning after her SUV crashed into the mountainside on the Outeniqua Pass in George, Western Cape. Two emergency vehicles from ER24 were dispatched, along with Metro Rescue, after motorists had witnessed the incident.
Upon arrival, paramedics found that the woman had already been pulled from her overturned vehicle, which lay up against the mountainside. On assessment, paramedics found that the woman had sustained moderate injuries and required transportation to hospital.
The patient was treated for her injuries and thereafter transported to Mediclinic George for further assessment. The woman later told paramedics that she had lost control of the vehicle, causing it to smash into the mountainside and overturn.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
