A 36-year-old woman and her 3-year-old girl were injured yesterday evening after their vehicle overturned on the West Coast Road in Melkbosstrand in the Western Cape. ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found a light motor vehicle lying on its roof on the side of the road.
Three occupants had already climbed out of the vehicle prior to the arrival of paramedics. On assessment, it was discovered that a woman and her young child had sustained only minor injuries. The husband fortunately escaped injury.
Paramedics treated the two patients and transported them to New Somerset Hospital for further treatment.The cause of the incident is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
