Requirements Minimum educational qualification:
Senior Certificate with an appropriate post matric Secretarial or Office Management Qualification of a minimum duration of 12 months.
Experience: Experience as a secretary/PA.
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer literacy (MS Office package) e-mail literate. Ability to gather and interpret documents and information, prepare reports for management, using tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Good communication skills (verbal and written) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Very good interpersonal skills and be able to work under pressure. Good planning, organisational and presentation skills. Ability to handle conflict.
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Ensure the effective functioning of the office of the Director SCM. Manage the issues flowing through the office of the Director SCM. Prepare reports for the Director, using Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Execute office and general administrative duties. Render a secretarial support service to the Director SCM. Maintain diary, manage appointments and travel arrangements. Support the Director with the administration of the budget of the Director SCM office. Note: A competency test will form part of the interview process. No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post.
