Minimum educational qualification:

►Senior Certificate (or equivalent).


►Appropriate experience in administration.

Inherent requirements of the job: 

►Willingness to work overtime to meet operational requirements of the hospital.

►Willingness to attend training/meetings, which requires travelling.

Competencies (knowledge/skills):     

►Knowledge of Hospital Fees Memorandum, Chapter 18, His/Clinicom, UPFS and Billing System.

►Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel) and knowledge of record keeping procedures.

►Ability to accept accountability and responsibility and to work independently and unsupervised.

►Excellent verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):

►Admission of patients.

►Record-keeping, filing and retrieving of folders, tracing of old folders and compiling of new folders, destruction of folders.

►Complete registration, accounts in respect of arrears, fees and transport.

►Responsible for revenue control which include receipt of money, issue of accounts.

►Collate patient statistics and reconciliation with para-medical department records.

►Responsible for handling telephonic and personal enquiries.
