PERSONAL ASSISTANT FOR A FINANCIAL ADVISOR

Job description:

Supporting the Financial Advisor(s) with the financial planning process by gathering the necessary data, preparing quotes and relevant documentation. Timeously following through on all new business cases up to accepted policy contract stage. Initiating and finalising investment servicing instructions. Ensuring a smooth operational practice. Being prompt and professional when engaging with clients, whether telephonically or in person

Education and experience:

• Intermediate insurance, assurance, investment and compliance knowledge
• 2 years in the financial services industry (minimum)
• You will be fluent in English and Afrikaans

Key Result Areas:

• To professionally represent the practice (front person)
• Responsible for operational compliance
• Manage service levels with Product and Service Providers
• Manage adherence to service level agreements with clients
• Ensure client investment new business and servicing is finalised correctly and timeously
• Protection and backing up of data
• Commission tracking
• Preparation of operational reports
• General housekeeping
• Occupational health and safety

Knowledge requirements:

• Knowledge of types of industry-specific products & investments
• Knowledge of investment new business and servicing procedures
• Keeping abreast of changes in the industry and legislation
• Professional client facing contact person (when engaging with clients in person or over the phone)
• Liaisons and managing of external product providers / clients
• Proactive problem solving
• Familiar with FAIS & FICA legislation (must be compliance driven)
• Customer service orientated
• Has the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
• Maintenance of professional workflow
• Monitor progress and proactively gets new business issued
• Has good interpersonal skills
• Good computer skills (Word / Excel / Internet/ and Email- Outlook)

• Ability to assess priorities and schedule work accordingly
