We invite enthusiastic, self-motivated applicants with excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as front-line and secretarial administration experience for a three-year contract appointment.
The successful candidate will provide effective and efficient high quality customer service to visitors, academics and students in the Department of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences.
► Matric/Grade 12
► A minimum of Two years reception and secretarial experience
► Effective verbal and written communication skills, including excellent telephone management
► Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word; MS Excel; E-mail; and Internet at an intermediate level
► Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
► Very good time management, planning and organisational skills
► Ability to work autonomously, multitask and to maintain confidentiality
► Maturity, courtesy, problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
► Strong client focus and service orientation, with a good work ethic
► Post matric qualification
► Two years administrative work experience in the higher education environment
► Reception duties: including appropriate and professional attention to
► Staff, student and stakeholder engagements
► Walk-in visitors who are welcomed and assisted efficiently and effectively o telephone calls, mail and message retrieval and delivery
► Liaison with students, staff, external and internal clients
► Secretarial duties: provide support for departmental events, regularly update signage, telephone lists and web site, make travel, accommodation, and catering arrangements, etc.
► Creation and maintenance of efficient and effective systems for the ordering and monitoring of stationery, supplies, keys, courier and delivery services
► Assistance with operations: logging of maintenance and repair requests, tracking of furniture, computers, telephones and health and safety matters
