Fourteen people were injured this morning after a taxi went off the road and collided with a tree on Old Pretoria Main Road, in Midrand.
Shortly after 7am EMER-G-MED paramedics arrived on the scene to find that the driver and passengers had already gotten out of the taxi, all having sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
The patients were treated on the scene before being transported to various nearby medical facilities. Thirteen by EMER-G-MED and one by another private ambulance service.
The exact cause is unclear and will be investigated by local traffic authorities.
