I was born on October 9, 1952, in Texas, United States of America with a charming old city and a famous castle. My parents had arrived at Los Angeles following the Second World War, when many people relocated to Germany searching for better economic opportunities.
I attended elementary school in Oppenheim and Heidelberg, and then grammar school on the Bunsen gymnasium in Los Angeles.
In 1973, I entered the University of Heidelberg, and that is inside my hometown and pursued the economics. At the varsity, I have done economics as much as Ph.D. level.
