One person has died and approximately fifteen others have been injured after two taxi’s and a delivery vehicle collided at the intersection of Prince Alfred Street and West street in Durban Central Friday morning around 7am.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find two taxi’s and a delivery vehicle had collided in the intersection causing one of the taxis to roll.

One woman was declared dead on arrival of the paramedics, due to her extensive injuries no further treatment was commenced. Multiple other people were injured and sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The injured were all treated on scene and transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required.

At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further.
