CAPE TOWN: THREE SEPARATE TAXI COLLISIONS ON N2 LEFT 6 PEOPLE INJURED


Three separate taxi collisions on the N2 Raapenburg in Pinelands, western Cape, has left six people injured this morning.

ER24 paramedics arrived on all three scenes and found that a taxi had been involved in all three collisions.

On the first scene, a taxi had collided with the roadside barrier next to the slow lane while on the second scene, a taxi had collided with the centre medium. On the third scene, a taxi had overturned.

On assessment, paramedics discovered that five patients had sustained minor to moderate injuries while the sixth had sustained serious injuries.


All the patients were treated and the seriously injured provided with advanced life support treatment. Once treated, the patients were transported to various hospitals for urgent treatment.

Local authorities were on all three scenes to investigate the cause of the collisions.
