A 41-year-old man has sustained minor injuries after he was struck by a vehicle on Greenacres Drive and corner Venus Street in Melrose, Johannesburg earlier this afternoon.
Reports from the scene indicate that the man was directing traffic on the road when he landed onto the bonnet of a vehicle that was driving on the wrong side of the road. According to reports, the man clung for a few metres before he fell off and suffered injuries.
It’s alleged that the driver of the vehicle sped off after the man fell. The man sustained minor injuries, he was stabilised by Netcare911 Paramedics on scene before he was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
This incident happened this afternoon at about 13h45. Police are investigating the matter.
