ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the taxi lying on its side on the left lane of the road. Traffic had already begun to back up due to the collision. It was found that all the occupants had climbed out of the vehicle before the arrival of paramedics.
On assessment, paramedics found that only four occupants had been injured. The patients were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries. Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to a provincial hospital for further treatment.
It is understood the driver lost control of the taxi, causing it to overturn. Local authorities were on scene to investigate further.
