A search operation conducted by Beaufort West police yielded a massive haul of mandrax tablets worth R10 Million in the early hours of this morning.
The seizure of 200 000 mandrax tablets that were transported in a bakkie, from Johannesburg to Cape Town, led to the arrest of a 50-year-old male. He will appear in the Beaufort West Magistrate Court on Monday.
Provincial management have commended the Beaufort West police for the good work. The seizure and arrest are believed to have dealt a major dent to the drug trade. We will continue with our efforts to rid the communities of drugs that destroy the nation.
