ER24 Paramedics attended this accident scene.
ER24 is an Emergency Medical Service providing efficient, effective emergency response and pre-hospital care.
One man was killed and two others were injured early this morning after a light motor vehicle rolled on the R501, 8km outside of Carletonville.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 06h20 and found a light motor vehicle lying on its roof on the side of the road, some distance away.
On assessment, paramedics discovered the body of a man lying trapped inside the light motor vehicle. Paramedics climbed inside the vehicle and found that the man had already succumbed to his multiple fatal injuries.
Unfortunately, nothing more could be done for the patient and he was declared dead on scene. Two other men, both in their 30s were found on scene with only minor injuries.
It is believed both men had been ejected from the vehicle when it rolled. Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to The Fountain Hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
