Western Cape: Our endeavours to root out corruption within our ranks has resulted in another arrest, bringing the total number of police officers apprehended during "Operation Elephant" since last week to six.
This afternoon a 34 year old constable was arrested on a warrant of arrest at his workplace at Strand police station following a lengthy investigation into the corrupt activities of certain SAPS members.
He faces charges for the possession of ammunition and providing ammunition illegally to a person. He is due to make a court appearance in Strand on Monday 2016-09-26.
