Just after 10pm EMER-G-MED's M05, A01 and A08 along with a number of other services responded to reports of a serious collision on the M26 (Erasmia Road), in Gerhardville - north of Johannesburg.

On arrival paramedics found that a car had gone off the road and collided with a tree. All the car's occupants were found outside the vehicle - lying across the scene.

Paramedics assessed the injured finding that a man in his 30s, who was believed to have been the driver, sustained fatal injuries and showed no signs of life. He was declared dead on the scene.
