Flight EK521 exploded on the runway after making the emergency landing shortly after 1pm (10am UK time). An Emirates airline plane has crash-landed at Dubai Airport after reportedly catching fire in mid-air.
The Dubai government confirmed the jet - which took off from India earlier today - had made an emergency stop at the airport shortly after 1pm local time (10am UK time).
The majority of passengers on board were Indian nationals, followed by those from the UK and United Arab Emirates.

A spokesman for the Foreign Office told HuffPost UK they were ready to “support” British nationals affected.
None of the 300 people on board - including 24 Brits - are believed to have been injured and passengers have been evacuated.
