RESPONSE TO MEDIA ENQUIRY: MURDER OF A 6 YEAR OLD BOY IN DE AAR

We are investigating a case of murder after a 6-year old boy’s body was found near a railway line in Friedlander Street, De Aar. On Wednesday, 25 August, at about 07:00am a passer-by found a body of a 6-year-old boy dumped, near a railway line.

We were immediately alerted and a manhunt has been launched.

It is alleged that the boy was last seen on 2016 August, 24 Wednesday evening in the company of Gordon, who is believed to be his mother’s boyfriend.

Gordon is nowhere to be found he is still at large.

We believe that he could assist the police in this case. Where ever he is he should avail himself or report to the nearest police station or report at De Aar Police station.

No one has been arrested as yet.
