Cape Town - A head-on collision that happened on the R303 between Ceres and Prince Alfred Hamlet on Sunday morning, has left 6 people killed and another person injured.
It's believed that the driver of the BMW, with 5 passengers, were on their way to Prince Alfred Hamlet and the Ford bakkie, en-route to Ceres.
Mr. Jacques Mostert, spokesperson of The Provincial Traffic Department, said that the driver of a third vehicle, also involved in this collision, was not injured."
Sadly Four Women & Two Men died and the injured man was admitted to a local hospital.
The names of the deceased has not been formally announced. The exact cause of the accident was not yet known.
Reint Grobler, owner of the Capish Pizza & Pasta Restaurant in Ceres, said that the man that was driving the bakkie, was working as a Farm Manager in Ceres and that his wife held her baby shower in his restaurant on Friday. It's believed that the baby will be born in 5 weeks.
